1. Purpose
This policy establishes safety and conduct requirements applicable to Drivers and Passengers using Movygo Ride functionality. The Driver provides the underlying transportation service and remains responsible for safe and lawful vehicle operation.
2. Driver Safety
- comply with traffic laws;
- remain attentive to driving;
- use a legally and reasonably roadworthy vehicle;
- comply with passenger and seatbelt limits;
- not operate while impaired;
- not engage in dangerous driving;
- not use handheld devices contrary to law; and
- stop providing Ride services if the vehicle becomes unsafe.
3. Passenger Safety
- use required seatbelts;
- avoid interfering with vehicle controls;
- avoid dangerous distraction of the Driver;
- not request unlawful driving;
- comply with lawful passenger-capacity requirements; and
- reasonably supervise accompanying children and guests.
4. Prohibited Conduct
Drivers and Passengers must not engage in violence, threats, assault, sexual misconduct, unwanted sexual contact, stalking, intimidation, harassment, deliberate property damage, theft, fraud, unlawful discrimination or conduct creating a serious safety risk.
5. Driver Impairment
A Driver must never provide a Ride while impaired by alcohol, cannabis, illegal drugs, medication, fatigue, illness or another condition that makes driving unsafe.
6. Passenger Intoxication
A Driver may decline to begin or may end transportation at a reasonably safe location where Passenger conduct creates a genuine safety or legal risk. This does not authorize unlawful discrimination.
7. Weapons and Dangerous Items
Drivers and Passengers must comply with all laws concerning weapons and dangerous items. No person may use or display an item in a threatening manner or transport an item where doing so would make the Ride unlawful or unreasonably dangerous.
8. Emergencies and Reporting
Movygo is not an emergency service. Call 911 or the appropriate emergency authority where there is an immediate threat. Movygo may provide reporting functionality for safety concerns, complaints, fraud, harassment, discrimination or other Ride-related issues. Reporting through Movygo does not prevent direct contact with police, insurers, regulators or other lawful authorities.
9. Platform Access
Movygo may temporarily or permanently restrict Ride functionality where reasonably necessary for serious safety, fraud, compliance or legal concerns, subject to applicable law. This does not make Movygo responsible for the underlying conduct of a Driver or Passenger.
