1. Passenger Responsibility
Passengers are responsible for personal property they bring into a Driver's vehicle and should check the vehicle before leaving.
2. Reporting a Lost Item
A Passenger who believes property was left in a vehicle may report the item through the Ride or support functionality provided by Movygo. The Passenger should provide sufficient information to identify the Ride and item.
3. Movygo's Role
Movygo provides a process through which a Passenger may attempt to recover property left in a Driver's vehicle. Movygo may facilitate communication between the Driver and Passenger, including through privacy-preserving communication methods where available.
Movygo does not take possession, custody, ownership or responsibility for the item merely because a report is submitted and does not guarantee that an item will be located, preserved or returned.
4. Driver Responsibilities
A Driver who discovers property should handle it reasonably and lawfully. The Driver should not use, sell, intentionally damage or unnecessarily access the contents of property belonging to a Passenger. The Driver and Passenger may arrange a reasonably safe method and location for return.
5. Return Expenses
Where permitted, reasonable expenses associated with returning an item may be agreed between the Driver and Passenger or facilitated through Movygo where the platform offers such functionality. No return fee guarantees recovery.
6. Sensitive, Dangerous or Illegal Property
Identification documents, payment cards, keys, medication, electronic devices and other sensitive property should be handled with reasonable care. Where appropriate, property may be turned over to police, the issuing authority or another lawful recipient. A Driver is not required to retain or personally transport property where doing so would be unlawful or unsafe.
7. Unclaimed Property
Unclaimed property must be handled according to applicable law. Movygo does not acquire ownership of unclaimed property merely because it was reported through the platform.
